Vast numbers of Astra Militarum regiments formed the bulk of Mankind’s response to Leviathan’s onslaught, but marshalling them took time. Gradually the colossal mobilisations of troops and materiel began, that would be essential to waging this latest Tyrannic War. Yet this would not only be a battle of defence and attrition. Imperial commanders were not content to sit behind battlements and wait for the darkness to reach their walls.
