Grand Master of the Ravenwing and Master of the 2nd Company, Sammael is the 348th Dark Angel to hold this role. He has served in this capacity for over a century, an unusually long period of time – the Ravenwing have suffered the loss of a Master more than any other company in the Dark Angels Chapter. He was also the youngest Dark Angel to ever be accepted into the Ravenwing, when then Grand Master Gideon elevated him to the brotherhood from the 8th Company.
